Description of duties:
1. Customer Technical Support: Respond to customer technical inquiries regarding silicon photonic chips or optical modules (e.g., 400G/800G/1.6T DR/FR, etc.), provide design suggestions, application guidance and fault analysis.
2. Problem Diagnosis & Resolution: Assist customers in locating and resolving issues related to system integration, eye diagram performance, bit error rate (BER), thermal management, interoperability, etc., via remote or on-site support.
3. Technical Documentation: Prepare application notes, FAQs, reference design guides, debugging manuals and other technical documents to improve customer self-support capability.
4. Cross-department Collaboration: Work closely with R&D, product, quality and manufacturing teams, collect customer requirements and field issues, and drive product improvement and reliability enhancement.
5. Customer Training: Provide training to customers on product operation, test methods, interface specifications, etc., and participate in customer design reviews (CDR) when necessary.
6. Laboratory Support: Reproduce customer issues in the company laboratory, conduct verification including optical eye diagram testing, TDR/TDT analysis, optical power calibration, and bit error testing.
7. Competitor Analysis & Market Feedback: Gather customer feedback on competitive products, assist the product team in technical benchmarking and differentiation analysis.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree or above in Optical Engineering, Optoelectronics, Microelectronics, Communication Engineering, Electronic Engineering or related fields.
2. Familiar with the basic principles of Silicon Photonics, and understand key devices such as modulators, detectors, waveguides, couplers, etc.
3. Proficient in the architecture and protocol standards (IEEE 802.3, OIF, MSA) of high-speed optical modules (e.g., QSFP-DD, OSFP, etc.) and key parameters (such as ER, TDECQ, Jitter, Sensitivity, etc.).
4. Possess basic knowledge of optical communication systems, and understand application scenarios in data centers and telecom networks.
5. Skilled in operating optical communication test equipment (such as BERT, oscilloscope, spectrometer, optical power meter, eye diagram tester, etc.).
6. Good communication skills, logical thinking and customer service awareness; ability to write technical documents in both Chinese and English is preferred.
7. Experience in silicon photonic chip tape-out, packaging, or optical module design/test is preferred.
8. Willing to travel short-term or long-term to support key customers.
